I'm employed at Maple Suites retirement home in Dover, NH, and often our residents will move to assisted living facilities if they can no longer live comfortably on their own. Sadie, a resident and friend of mine, was transferred to Watson Fields when she became ill with pancreatic cancer. Shortly before she passed away, I went to Watson Fields to visit her. It was a pretty nice place and the people there were kind to her, but all the same it made me sad because it was so unlike Maple Suites. Instead of there being happy, independent senior citizens, most of the men and women who lived there were very sick. But as far as the actual facility and the staff were concerned, it seemed like she and the other residents were well taken care of. The rooms had comfortable beds and chairs in them and there was an activity room where the residents could socialize. I never tried the food, but Sadie said that she thought it was pretty good.
