I am/was a resident of this facility
To start with the Jewish Allied Apartments is no longer Jewish as it was in the day. It's been taken over by HUD and the staff has changed from being caring to uncooperative and not getting involved with issues that take presidents. For instance this is not a safe community there has been break ins because the back door does not completely shut and lock and they never fix it. The water is always being turned of and with out notice at times which is an inconvenience other issues are the so called dinning room the food is awful I can tell you after I eat there I have a sick stomach and diarrhea and other residents have complained about it as well and certainly not worth the price around $200.00 a month and that's just one meal per night. One of the most discouraging things that happens here is some residents are very argumentative and physical. One in particular is this women who enjoys aggravating residents and staff with her filthy mouth and belittles her victims and always causing havoc. I am one of her many victims who has done nothing to this person and I tried to get help from the office but to no avail they don't want to get involved and that's exactly what a staff member told me. I can't tell you how many residents have been hit by speeding cars by the nuevo resh of Cherry Creek and the stop sign has been knocked over 20 times by these cars. This is supposedly a safe in environment for all but between the harassment and the burgles and staff not caring it's decreasing but mostly degrading. If you are considering moving here or moving your relatives in keep looking further in your search. At one point this was a beautiful Jewish community and now they want to change it and letting in questionable and potentially dangerous individuals. I'm very sad that this community will no longer be just a Jewish Community. There must be a place for us.
I visited this facility
This is a lovely facility, and the residents are really friendly with each other and the staff. I know for a fact that great friendships have been forged here. This facility is close to a lot of shopping. A group of the residents get together regularly and have a girls night out. They go to the mall and really enjoy themselves. It's not so much the buying, but just being around people that they like. I was visiting when they were coming back from just such a trip. They came in on a storm of laughter and chatting. Each lady was carrying at least two shopping bags. It looked like quite the fantastic outing. Added to the convenient location, the beautiful facility and all the friends the residents make, and it's an excellent place to be.
