I visited this facility
Country Pines provide assisted living on half of their buildings and senior living on the other half. The lady that helped us out was very nice. They had closed down a little bit because it was a holiday. They said that on regular days, they have everything you could want. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. You have to pay for your dinner. The rooms were very clean and actually a little bit larger than I was expecting. They have a walk-in shower and lots of room. They have a little kitchenette, where you can cook a few things in a microwave. They have plug-ins for a washer and dryer, which was really nice because my wife does not like to go to the laundromat. They have a nice living room area and a nice area for eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a large dining room in assisted living. They have games, movies, and a big social area where they can get together and talk to each other. It's also a place where they can play card games, puzzles, or whatever they would like to do. There's plenty of room for all of that. It was very clean. I didn't see anything dirty anywhere. The hallways were nice and clean. The apartment they showed us had just been revamped, and they had put in new carpeting and repainted all of the walls.

My mother moved into Country Pines. It's very nice, and we like it. The grounds are beautiful. There are flowers, a gazebo for the residents and their families, and lots of activities. She has a patio apartment with her own flower garden. She has a small one-bedroom with a handicap-accessible bathroom. They have daily blood-pressure checks. She has only been there for a few days, but they offer several activities. I know they have karaoke and a weekly blood-pressure clinic. They're all very happy-go-lucky, nice people over there. I'm very happy with the staff. The food is good so far. It's restaurant style. You go to a dining room, you have a server get your order, they'll box it up to take it home, and they'll deliver it for $3. It's kind of pricey, and I know things have gone up drastically.

My brother lived in Country Pines. They have all three levels of care. His room was like a separate apartment. He was able to have a washer and dryer, a small kitchenette, a separate bedroom and bathroom, and a separate little dining room all in one little unit. They also have double bedrooms for couples, but they only serve two meals a day there. The third one, which is the evening meal, the patients are responsible for themselves. They offer breakfast and lunch, and lunch is the big meal of the day. But they look like they don't have enough food for the residents because they're always running out. So nobody got even portions for all the residents. That's my biggest complaint other than the staff being not great. But they're very thorough when they come in once a week to clean your apartment for you, and once a month they do a deep cleaning. They have activities all the time which is good. Their price was a little bit high, and they were getting ready to raise their price, so we moved to another community. Their apartment-type rooms also have the washer and dryer in the rooms, but my brother didn't want to stay there. He didn't like the people and didn't like the help. You have to go in and make arrangements so they'll take you to your appointments and wait for you to be done. They also have activities, crafts, games, and things going on all the time. They also used to offer to take the residents out once a week to a movie. You have to sign up for it, but they'll take the redsidents out to restaurants, shopping at Walmart, and so on. His big problem was that his neighbor whose apartment was attached to him was smoking even though they're not allowed. She'd go to her bedroom and smoke and it would come through to his room, and he's on oxygen since he has lung problems. No matter how many times they get turned onto her smoking she'd always sneak around and get away with it. They have older apartments, but I was impressed with them.

Country Pines was very well maintained, and the director was very helpful. The dining area was clean and looked very well. They had arts and crafts and a round table discussion when we were there.

My mom is in Country Pines. She's in a 2-person room, and it's spacious and clean. The food is really good, she has a good appetite, and she enjoys the food. There's some trained staff and mostly young people. It's not perfect, but it's not bad.

I visited this facility
Country Pines was very nice. The people were nice. The reason I wouldn't choose that facility is because they are like individual apartments, but the residents would have to go outside and walk on sidewalks to go to the dining area. It was not convenient. For some people that might have been fine, but when it's winter, they have to leave their apartments and walk a half a block. They come and clean the rooms and do the laundry. The apartment was small and had a kitchenette and a washer and dryer in the unit. They had an outside area for family to come and barbecue or smokers to sit outside. In the main building, they had the dining room, the hair salon, and the activity rooms. They were very accommodating and personable.

My aunt has been at the Country Pines. It seemed to be a clean environment. I liked the cleanliness and the location. She was in a private, decent room that was clean every time we visited.

I have my mother-in law at CP and she is treated with the utmost respect and care. I visit often and have appreciated their dedication to her well-being. It is clean, modern and I feel very comfortable with having her at CP.

Country Pines was terrible, ugly, outdated, and really small. I won't ever want my parents to live in a place like that. I just didn't like it at all.

I want to go to Country Pines, but I can't afford it. Everybody that I saw greeted me so nicely and assured me that they would be there if I needed help at anytime. The grounds are really nice. The dining area is a dining-playroom combination, with bingo, music, and everything in there along with the dining room for mealtime. It is nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable-looking. They have a nice exercise room, library, and yards. Everything about it looks clean. It is not new, but it has been very well cared for. However, I can’t afford it. At Country Pines, you have your own apartment.

I am/was a resident of this facility
Country Pines was nice. It’s more of assisted living and memory care, so it’s great for them. But for somebody who doesn’t need a lot of assistance, it's not good. They’re awesome. My grandfather was there for six years, so I got really familiar with it, but it just wasn’t a place to put our father because he wasn’t as needy as my grandfather was. I thought the rooms were kind of small but clean. I’ve eaten wonderful food there. They need more staff. They have an activity room for bingo and puzzles, but I never noticed anybody playing card games. Country Pines has pretty big apartments for retirees, so they also have a retirement part, but the part I’ve seen was more where my grandfather was at in the main area for assisted living where they had the dining room. Those who were in the apartments or the retirees, as part of their amenities, have access to the dining room as well as the meals.

Country Pines was an old facility. There were many assisted living people that needed help. The employees were nice, but I didn’t think they had enough people to help with their needs. Also, I didn’t think the facility was well maintained. It was old and needed updating. It wasn’t as clean as I think it could have been.

I visited this facility
I didn’t like Country Pines. Even though I scheduled and verified my scheduled appointment, they didn’t have anybody to take me on the tour. They seemed annoyed that I was there to take a tour of the place. The staff didn’t answer any questions. They didn’t have activities like all the other places. The dining area was really small and hard to get around with the number of people trying to be in there. The people there seemed happy. The rooms were really small, cramped, and had a smell to them.

My mother will be a resident of Country Pines. It is very clean and well organized and has friendly staff and occupants. They do shopping and trips, they have bingo and exercise classes, and singers come in and perform for them.

My mother is the first person in the new memory unit at Country Pines, they greeted her at the door with flowers and in her room in her chair were two of the most important comfort factors in her closing world. Her favorite chips and a new blanket to keep her warm, the director of the memory unit remember theses items from our conversation about Mom a month prior to their opening. Thank you Pat! The smile on my Moms face as they took her picture was priceless. My husband and I could not be any happier with a facility than Country pines it is outstanding and what a beautiful memory unit they have open up wow.. I have several friends at Country Pines. In fact, I have a friend that lives in the same facility, but she is in her own apartment. We have my sister on Medicaid because we could not afford to pay the assisted living by ourselves. My sister is able to get back up where she was before the accident, and they put her in one of the apartments by herself. The manager told us that if you got her on Medicaid and she qualified for it, she could stay. The facility is clean, they wash her, and the patients are happy. My best friend was in the independent apartment, and she loves it.

Friend or relative of resident
My grandma lived on her own, without kids, and without her husband for 12 years. She was getting older and while still very able bodied she did have trouble getting around her house on her own. Deciding to move into Country Pines was the best decision she ever made. When the family first arrived to help her the staff was very friendly and inviting, her room was actually more like a small apartment. She had a bedroom, living room with attached kitchen, and her own bathroom. She was very nervous about the move but with the helpful staff and the wonderful residents she fit right in and loved it. She could have meals brought to her, or eaten in the cafeteria with the other residents. If she wanted to cook her own food she was welcome to do that also. Years later she did end up getting sicker and had to be moved inside the facility for more direct care. She said that her years at the retirement center were some of the best of her life. When she did pass away we were elated with how understanding and kind the staff were. She wasn't just another patient to them, they treated her like their own family and we will be forever thankful to them.
