I visited this facility

This facility resembles an urban high-rise apartment building complete with lobby door buzzer & electronic key fobs for residents. The only clues that this is a facility is the communal dining room and the existence of nursing office and social worker office on the second floor along with a therapy/rehab room for on-site PT. Residents live in apartments with accessibility options such as extra-long pull cords for lights and countertop cut-out to allow a chair to roll under so someone can do food prep on the countertop. There was a call button in the apartment, but the place is so well-done, that these 'facility' type things are not as noticeable as they are in 'nursing home'-style assisted living facilities. They were easy to locate if you need to use one, but did not draw the main focus of attention. Administration was wonderful to work with as several agencies were involved in helping this person get there. We knew their care was assured, but they also were going to be able to access the community and have options of things to do that they had not been able to have before. There is a sister facility across the street & the Traditions name may be theirs - the site I experienced was the high-rise apt. setting.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My father in law lives there full time. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, courteous and polite, they know you by name. The physical therapy is excellent, the therapists are kind but effective. The meals provided are balanced for a healthy diet, and they work very well with a nutrionist to provide the right kinds of food for people with dietary restrictions. The security is excellent, and they have plenty of activites in a wide range of interests. The lobby is well maintained, with a small selection of books and magazines you can borrow for pleasure reading. I always feel welcome visiting there, and feel like children are welcomed, even encouraged to visit. Overall, I feel that this is an excellent assisted living facility, and feel safe knowing that someone I love is there, getting both the excellent care he needs to live a private, full life with the help that we are unable to provide full time.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My great-grandmother was well taken care of. The only complaints she was was the food, but that's to be expected. She loved her caregivers, although some seemed as though they were there just working. It's a great facility, clean, and friendly staff.

I visited this facility

It is the nicest nursing home in our town. It is a comfortable setting, and the rooms are nice. It also has an abundance of staff, who are always around. The only problem is the staff does not seem to care very much about the patients under their care. I have seen this problem in almost any nursing home i have been in.
