Springhouse of Bethesda

The facility is well staffed. They are caring and attentive to the needs of the residents. They carefully monitor who enters and exits the building, ensuring the safety of the residents. The facility has many activities for the residents to ensure their contentment. The apartment facilities are well maintained and the staff attend to residents regularly. Residents are fed meals together in a dining facility that is managed well. There are many opportunities for residents to socialize. The apartments are overall very comfortable and spacious, although not excessively so. There is an outdoor patio for residents to sit and watch birds and enjoy fresh air. The view from the higher apartments are alright, with an excellent view of the National Institute of Health campus. All in all, it is definitely a good facility, and most definitely above average in quality, even if the price is slightly higher than other communities.

The Springhouse of Bethesda is a high rise, 10-story facility. I do remember Nancy with an Italian surname who was very very nice, and very helpful. She was the one who showed me around. Overall, I liked the facility but I don't want to live in a high rise facility, I just don't want a facility that is higher than 2 floors. They do have small rooms but it has a veranda which has a great view of the facility, and each room has its own reading/living room. I didn't taste the food, so I can't comment on that. The facility has different activity rooms and a garden.

Springhouse of Bethesda is one of the best AL in the Maryland area. The nursing team is on task, and the Executive Director Bill Young runs a tight ship of this facility. Is clean, food is great, residents are happy, and is beautifully located in the heart of downtown Bethesda. I recommend this facility very highly.

I guess I'll skip the intro and get right to the point.The facility itself is great. The buildings are arranged in apartment-style, with individual rooms. The rooms themselves are nice, not to big and not too small, while still haveing a homely atmosphere. The rooms are well kept and clean, and the housekeeping is good.The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The assisted living home is very comfortable, and independence is encouraged for residents. However, this does not mean that the residents are neglected. The staff are very capable and adaptive, and can help arrange for any type of lifestyle, ready to help at any time. There are a lot of activities, my aunt there was never bored. There was a lot of time to socialize there, and she keeps telling me about how friendly the people are - both the staff and her new friends.The staff are on call for 24 hours a day. I had heard complaints from a friend, but after experiencing it firsthand I am highly impressed. Both my aunt and I highly recommend Springhouse Bethesda.
