We went to Woodside Senior Living. I talked to a young lady, and she showed us around the place. We enjoyed it. Everything was fine. The nurse was there also. The lady was very professional and easy to talk with. I told her I would be getting back to her this coming week. They offered three meals a day. I didn't try any meals. I just saw the menu. Everything seemed very nice. The bedroom was not as large as I'd like though. The lady said that they're in the process of putting in new carpets and stuff.

The tour at Woodside Senior Living was very good. The lady was very thorough, went over everything with me, and helped me with some of the paperwork. The place was nice. I liked it. The rooms were nice also. I checked the dining area, but I didn't eat there. It was very clean. The staff did an excellent job. The place looked older. It wasn't very modern.

Woodside Senior Living was older and not very aesthetic, but what we liked was there was a strong sense of community there. Residents spoke with other residents a great deal. They spoke with the staff and the staff spoke with them and spoke with each other. I liked the community feeling of it, and so did my brother-in-law. It's rundown-looking. It used to have plush carpeting and Walnut tables and now it has cafeteria tables, so it's a little sad. If I'm looking at it as a community, I would give it five stars, but my impression was about two stars. It doesn't look nice. It's cheaply decorated. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They have some social activities, a courtyard, and a dining area. It's near shopping and a hospital.

I went to Woodside Senior Living. I loved it. When I walked in they had a full entertainment on a Tuesday afternoon, which blew me away, and so I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. Then I was really shocked at how large and how expansive the facility is. They have quite a few amenities and services, so I was very pleased with that. I think that would be good for my mom. It was well-lit and spacious, which is a big thing. It's a great atmosphere. Everybody was smiling and enjoying themselves, so that was good to see. The staff was first rate. I looked to see how the residents are interacting with the staff, and they seemed to really enjoy themselves. The dining area was huge. They also had several lobbies, cubbyholes, and places to eat. The staff members were very helpful. They sat down with me, explained to me everything, and told me all my options. I was very impressed.

I loved Woodside Senior Living, but once we got there, we didn't realize it was pretty expensive. We were also told that they would have to send a nurse to the facility where my cousin is at in order to make sure that she's a good candidate for the assisted living. The staff was friendly. There were lots of wonderful activities for them to participate in. Some of the seniors had a field trip at the casino the day I went in. I thought it was very impressive that they have a little store there, a salon, a nail shop, and a little chapel where if they want to go to church on a Sunday, they can do that. It was ideal. Each apartment has a little patio. There's a beautiful area for just sitting out in warm weather. It's very clean. They have transportation for field trips, an area where they can go in and exercise, and they can get therapy.

Woodside Senior Living was nice, but it was an older place. It wasn't very modern compared to the other ones I saw. The staff was great. I saw two rooms and they were OK. They were acceptable and nice. They had a library, and a dining room and they provide tours for the residents.

Woodside Senior Living smelled clean and looked clean. I noticed particularly that all the residents there seemed to be happy. The room was spacious, clean, and modern. The staff was very friendly, professional, and approachable, and answered all the questions I needed answering. They acknowledge the residents' birthdays and they have a space to come out of their rooms to watch TV together socially. I noticed they had lots of puzzle books and games, a piano, and a place of worship.

My aunt has moved into Woodside Senior Living. We chose it because she has the option to cook if she wanted to. They provide an apartment-sized stove. The apartment is very spacious. The bedroom is separate from the living room. It's not all one room and there's a lot of storage. So far, the staff are very responsive. They come when she pages, and also, if she doesn't page, they'll check in on her. She doesn't like the food. She said it doesn't taste good. She used to be a cook, though. They have activities, but she hasn't participated in any of their stuff yet. It's an older facility, but it is still nice. They have a gym, a salon, a spa, a library, and an activity room. The value for money is fair. Her apartment has been updated, but the carpet could be cleaner and things like that.

I love Woodside Senior Living. The director was very warm, very patient, and very helpful. It was a family environment. Everything was clean, very attractive, very modern, and very comfortable. It had a very nice and easy flow, whether my father is in a wheelchair, scooter, or anything else. It has a strong sense of community. They had restaurant dining there. They can either pick what is on their standard menu or have something else special. They had men's groups, women's groups, and then combined groups with outdoor picnics, baseball, and shopping outings. It was a very mixed-race community, which I loved. The facility was clean. Everything was available. Just from the tour and all the amenities, I definitely believe that it was worth what they charge. They have different sized rooms. It was nice enough that my husband and I said that we would like to live there.

The place that I liked was Woodside Senior Living that's out on Rockside Road. I liked the apartment set up and it would have been big enough for my dad. It was really clean and it smelled good. Usually, when people get elderly, it starts to stink and smell like urine and stuff like that. There were no smells like that at all when I walked through there. The staff was nice, and I feel like my dad would have a good time living there. He could make friends of his age. I went to see their assisted living. Igor, the executive director, answered any questions I had and showed me a couple of different apartments. He showed me how people who are living there kind of keep their doors open sometimes. I asked if it was okay if I looked in and he said that was fine so I went to see how the lady there had her place set up. They had a stove and refrigerator in the kitchen. I was also able to see a completely empty place. They're renovating right now and I was able to see that. He showed me the different sitting areas that they have, the game room, and stuff like that. He answered all the questions that I had and he's very, very nice. He told me to feel free to give him a call for any more questions that I have and he will be more than willing to help me. Going and looking at it, that's somewhere that I would want to put my father. I liked that when you walk down the halls, especially with it being an assisted living community, each person has their own little apartment. It's like when you're on a normal street and you're giving someone directions, you tell them street names like "turn left here, turn right there". This place has hallway names. Each one of the halls has its own, I guess you call it a street name. If someone was to come and visit, you could tell them, come down to this hall and make a right on this hall, whatever the name of the hallway was, basically like giving them directions but just inside the facility. I thought that was interesting because it would be easier to be able to tell somebody how to get to their apartment once they come in.

I toured Woodside Senior Living. I didn't like it. It's not a bad place. My dad was there before. He didn't like it and that's only because he just didn't want to be in the house, so we can't use his review. My 100-year-old granny is there. It's not a bad place. She seems being taken care of pretty well, it's just that I didn't like it. I like places that have a lot of sunlight coming through it. To me, this place is very gloomy and dark. The apartments are pretty nice; they just don't have enough sunlight that comes in. This is my opinion and what I've seen and how I do in my own life: I don't like being in darkness all the time. Like my room has two windows in it and so if the sunlight doesn't come into one, then it would come through another window. My mom and I have the brightest rooms in the house. Because it makes people feel refreshed to have a space that is lit up. You can see everything. When it's gloomy and the lighting is bad, you feel depressed, and you start having these feelings that no one cares about you and things of that nature. So for my dad and by him being a veteran (and this is just me), he should have a space where the sunlight is shining through the whole space so when he gets up in the sunrise, the sun is shining in his space and it makes him want to do something, it makes him want to get up and it makes him want to start his day. When I go to visit my dad there, he was not happy. And he was sharing a room with someone. There, everybody was much older than him. Like my grandma, she's 100 years old, and nobody wants to be in a room with a 100-year-old woman even though she has her own space. You don't want to be in there with people that are way older than you and then they're dying right next to you. My grandma just got there this year. She hasn't been there that long. I didn't like the place. For her, it's fine because people that are close to being 100 are there, so that works out for her. For my dad, not so much. He still has a lot of spunk. Even though he is in the beginning stages of dementia, he still has a lot of life. So, it just didn't work out for him. They check on my grandma pretty often when I was visiting her. The staff wasn't rude. She said, 'Oh I apologize. I didn't know she had a visitor,' and I'm like, 'No, it's okay. Come in and do your thing. This is your job. Don't let me stop you.' She asked me if she ate because we were sitting next to the kitchen table, so I was making her eat her food. She was like, 'That's good because she wouldn't eat.' When she first got there, she wasn't eating. My granny is used to living in her own house. The transition was kind of a shock to her because it's a new space, and she's not surrounded by the things that she's normally surrounded by that she's used to. So, it took us a little while, but then, as we were sitting there and talking, she said, 'You know, all of this stuff in here is mine except the Frigidaire and stove. But everything else I bought from my house, it belongs to me, and I got my own space.' So she likes it. Everything is pretty far from where she is situated. They have long hallways. It's like a maze in there. You can get lost if you don't get the proper directions. I didn't like the layout. I'm not sure about the activities. They have a hair salon. We met in there for a cake for my granny in July; it's a small space. Their dining area is very large. Their seating area is kind of small. They could have made it a little bigger or in another spot.

My mom was in an assisted living facility named Woodside Senior Living. For the price they were asking, the meals should have been better than what they were. I ordered out on Mother's Day, and when they brought the food in for her on Mother's Day, it was fit to feed the dog. A lot of the time I would ask her if she had eaten and she'd say yes, but I had a feeling she had not eaten. We would bring her groceries, though. She could use the microwave. She had a stove in there, but she didn't cook. They paused on activities because of the coronavirus. It was $3300 a month for the rent, and she was not getting a certain kind of physical therapy she needed. It wasn't worth the money that she was paying. A lot of people were moving out.

My mother-in-law lives at Woodside in Bedford, and she has been there for 9 years. She loves it there. It has been great. The building is older, so the rooms and the common areas haven't been updated for 15 or 20 years. I think that also reflects a reduced price. The staff is wonderful. If she has trouble even getting a shoe on, they will come and help her. Even though she is in independent living, they will help. She is very happy there. The suites are spacious. There is a 1-bedroom with a full bath, a living area, and a small (but full) kitchen. The outside has a screened-in patio. I have eaten there a couple of times. The food is good, but it is not great. It is adequate. They have several offerings for each meal. Over the past year and a half, the residents have all been served in their rooms. They have excursions as well. They also do fun parades around the whole complex for Memorial Day and the 4th of July. The staff's kids come to trick or treat and Easter egg hunt. It is very nice. They try hard, and she has always got activities to do. They have bingo and cookouts. They also offer different levels, like assisted living and memory care.

My loved one moved into Woodside Senior Living, and then ten days later she fell and broke her hip. She had hip replacement, and last night she was transferred into a rehab center. She had moved into the memory care. The experience was not the best. There were too many people and no one person that you could contact. They have poor communications. The facility was fine, and I liked the apartment that she was in. The overall facility was adequate. I know they provided meals, they have a nurse on duty, and they have caregivers. I did not taste the food, but it looked OK. It was of no value to us because she broke her hip there, and that was one of the reasons I put her there, to keep her from falling -- and then she fell when she was there.

I toured Woodside Senior Living. It was nice, the people were friendly, the persons that were in charge were nice, they gave me the information that I asked, and I was able to view the rooms. The rooms were nice and nice size, I liked the building, it was clean, beautiful dining area, and everything was on one floor. The people were in the dining room, it didn't have any terrible odor, it was airy, plenty of light, appeared to be clean.

We liked Woodside Senior Living's assisted living a lot. The facility looked and smelled clean. The people seemed relaxed and said hello to my mom. They were all very friendly. We liked the apartment that we picked out for my mom. It's a 1-bedroom apartment with a little efficiency kitchen, a living room area, a separate bedroom, and a separate bath that's handicap-accessible. The staff all seemed friendly and the admissions people were well-informed. The dining area was quite nice. They have bingo, singing, and an outside person came in who was leading a singalong when were we there. It was very nice and my mother enjoyed it. He had a beautiful voice and he was singing old-time songs. The residents were singing along with him. They also had a table out with a jigsaw puzzle. We were very happy with the place. The staff member who showed us around was very well-informed, gracious, and helpful.

I liked Woodside Senior Living, my mother loves it, and she will be moving in. The suite is larger than the normal suites I've seen in other places and it's reasonably priced. It's homey, has a refrigerator, a small stove, and a little kitchenette. It also has a private bedroom and a bathroom. There's more room there than the average assisted living place. They have a lot of activities for seniors, which I like, and I like that it's close to everything. They have a Red Hat Society. My mom is a hat person so she'll love that. They also have a lot of group activities and I'd like my mom to get involved since she's a people person. The staff just needs to work on their job duties. It’s the closest place to Home Sweet Home.

My mom moved in to this facility 06/2017. Every month her rent statement showed a different balance which is TOTALLY FRUSTRATING. The statement doesn't tell in detail why but when I had a sit down with management and finance they told me my mom's rent will be the same thus far which was a lie. Not only did her rent amount change but her rent date was moved up as well. EVERYONE says food isn't worth eating. The nurses are good and personable which makes her stay ok. I hope after this review things change for the better.

I thought Woodside Village at Bedford had all of the things and the facilities that would accommodate my dad's needs. The single rooms we looked at had likeable layouts. I liked the kitchen, and the bedroom was nicely set up. They also had a closed-in porch and an area where he could garden. The people there were very friendly, too. However, when I looked at the price, I realized I didn't have the money for it. I would still recommend this place to others.

Woodside Village was one of the places near my brother, and it was easy for my sister and me to have access to. So we thought about this place, saw all the literature on it online, what they offer, and we went to see what the facility looked like before we would show it to our parents. My sister actually got there first, and she had to go to the bathroom. It was some cosmetic things that weren't together that we knew once our mother got there, she wouldn't feel comfortable there. But the overall setup of the facility or what it should be is what we want for our parents. We just don't want to take them from what they are used to because my mother is very particular about something that is a downgrade of where they want to live. It was just a few cosmetic things, but they were kind, very cooperative, and very helpful about what they offer. They said that they were getting ready to do some restoring of certain areas, and they would give us a call when they have finished remodeling. There were different sizes of rooms, and we found what would be most useful for our parents in their state. Like I said, it was just some cosmetic things, like the doors in the bathroom needed to be checked on because one of them didn't have a latch on it, so you couldn't lock the door for privacy, and we knew that it would be an issue with my mother. The surrounding area was beautiful. Once they do the cosmetic upgrade on the facility, it will be fine. They had different activities, and I know they had exercises, they have a beautician and a barber shop there, and they had planned social activities within the facility to make them more social than them being at home. And this is what we want to do -- make sure that they got out and about and do more than what they do now. So their social programs really appeal to us because we want to keep them active. They seemed very kind and willing to work with the families, which is totally appreciated.

Woodside Village was wonderful, clean, very impressive, and very well run. A lady named Olivia who we spoke with, met with, and I've been talking to was just wonderful. They should keep her forever. We had all the information we needed. We had multiple tours, and she did everything she could to accommodate us and answer any questions that we had. I cannot say enough about her. I am in Woodside Village, and it is good. On the most part, most of the staff is friendly. I live in an apartment, which I am sharing with another person because the price is so high; that's the only negative part about it. I prefer to have one room by myself, but I cannot afford that. They cook the food, and you have to go the eating area. The food is pretty good. We have a few activities. They have bingo and religious services, but I am not yet participating.

It was good, and the staff was fair. I had an appointment with Woodside Village Bedford, but the person who was supposed to be there didn't show up, so I ended up having somebody else show me around, and she wasn't as familiar as the main person would've been, but he helped as best as he could. The apartments were good, and my mom was considering them. They had typical activities that you find in a senior home -- i.e., bingo and some travel. The dining room was not fancy, but adequate. They did have a separate facility for those with dementia.

Woodside Village is nice. The neighbors were nice; one lady befriended my grandma, and I thought that was very nice. She is in a private room, and it is good. It has a kitchen, a good size living room, and a bedroom, and it has a little patio which is nice. I tried a little bit of the food, and it has good quality. Woodside Village was basically the first place I went to, but I really was satisfied with everything that they told me. It was kind of urgent to get my father in somewhere, and he is in the dementia unit right now. The staff is doing OK. It is not a 24/7 care facility like I thought it would be, but no place is like that I guess. He's had a considerable amount of accidents since he's been there. I think they've called me at least seven times. He keeps on falling over, and he is supposed to be getting therapy, but I don't think he is getting therapy right now because he doesn't walk or anything, there is no strength there, and I don't think they'll ever get him better. I know they feed him four times a day -- he has a night snacks as well provided he wants to eat. If he doesn't want to eat, they won't feed him, but most of the time he goes to the cafeteria, but sometimes he doesn't feel up to it, and they bring it to his room. I'd ask him if he enjoys the food, and he says he likes it. There is no complaint whatsoever really. They have activities, but he doesn't engage in any of those. He has a big room -- a double suite that he shares with another man. It is not the greatest place. It is an old place, but they seem to be on the ball, they know what they are doing, and I have no complaints.

Woodside Village was very nice. The whole facility was very nice. The rooms were spacious. The one that we were looking at was a one-bedroom kind of studio that would have been perfect. It had its own bathroom with a walk-in shower and rails everywhere. It seemed like a very nice facility. The people that were there seemed very happy. We walked by the dining area while they were eating and they kind of get a little menu selection that they can order from each meal. It looked like everybody had something different and it looked pretty good. The sanitation of this facility looked good.

Woodside Village was only a one-story building. They had a wide hallway that went to the rooms. It was a pretty good distance when we took a walk, so if you're in a wheelchair or use a walker, it would be a long way to walk. They have three different sized rooms. They were adequate. Some of them have a little kitchenette. The dining area was adequate. The table settings were good. It was like a restaurant where they come out and give you a menu. They had a nice menu for dinner. I like that social recreations were listed on the wall. What I liked best about it was their therapy.

My daughter lives a couple of blocks away from Woodside Village. I lived there for about nine months. It was a good experience. They had a good medical staff. They had a lot of activities for the residents. The meals were a little above average. The staff was definitely extremely above average. The services were good, the management was good, and it was reasonable. They had a range of activities, like going to restaurants and to casinos. They had number of different community organizations that would come in for certain nights, and they had music nights one night a week, gospel another night, or it might be jazz another night, or oldies but goodies, and they had parties for the residents. The activities were very good. The sizes of the apartments were good, too.

I visited this facility

I looked at Woodside Village, and it was very nice. In fact, I had a friend who lived there. It just wasn’t what I wanted personally. There was nothing wrong with it; it was just not my preference, that’s all. The staff treated me very well. They were very nice and pleasant to me. They were very polite. It was clean, and the rooms were a comfortable size. They have an exercise room. The dining room was very nice, and it wasn’t crowded.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Woodside Village was one of the ones recommended to me and it was close by. They have different activities for those that have Alzheimer's and dementia. The dietitian and nursing staff were excellent. My sister has a spacious one-bedroom, bathroom and a shared living room. My sister enjoys the food.

I visited this facility

Woodside was a very large facility and it offered different levels of care. I just did not like it because it smelled of urine. The lobby was all right but it was really busy when I toured the place. Also I didn't get the chance to check out any rooms.

I visited this facility

We visited Woodside Village and it seemed nice and decent. The people treated us respectfully and they were nice. In addition to the amenities, the place has a good setup that's more like an apartment. It was also clean and pretty homey.

I visited this facility

The thing that me and my wife liked about woodside village was the condo like setting and the fact that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city,When we talked to some of the residents they had good things to say about the place.Talking to the staff we found out that some of them were really really good, very caring and treated the residents like family, they knew about the residents and their families, what impresed me the most was the fact that as we were trying to assess them in a way it felt like they were trying to for the lack of a better term judge us as to what we want or were looking for.Bedford hospltal was right up the street, and convenient shopping and paks were around the corner.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I wasnt very pleased at all with the staff who didnt seem to care very much for the residents. They would allow my grandfather to become very messy (no shaving face, hair growing wild, not groomed at all). Then when I inquired about this I was given an attitude. It lead me to not trust the staff and management here. The rooms are ok, pretty bland, but ok. There is a bed and a chair in each room. I found it rather depressing. The place looks nice on the outside, seems clean and the price isnt too much but the staff seem to just not care. The seniors living here seemed friendly, they all smiled and waved but didnt talk very much. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. We pulled my grandfather out of here and found him a much better assisted living facility. Granted a little farther away but worth it.

Friend or relative of resident

My family has been very satisfied with the service offered at Woodside. My grandmother is happy and seems to well taken care of. They have financial counselors who work with the various government programs to facilitate reimbursements and control costs.Woodside has a lot of activities for residents but my grandmother was ill so I never got a first hand review of the programs.
