Austin Shangri La

I visited this facility

While in Austin, we decided to check out the Austin Shangri La assisted living facility as an option for our aunt. Ironically, she once lived in an apartment facility by the same name in another town, so she would appreciate the name.

The outer grounds were nicely landscaped with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors by themselves or with friends and family.

Some of the activities include exercise programs, games, arts and crafts, current event discussions and socials. They go out in the area for shopping trips, and spiritual activities. They also have regular religious services weekly.

The apartments were cozy, but very elegant. The suites had additional kitchen spaces. All had individual heating and air conditioning. The bathrooms had safety proofed grab bars, and all have non-slip tile. Each unit comes with cable television services.

The dining area was really nice with great food and healthy food choices on the menu. They can also order special meals if they like. The snacks are offered all day long as desired.

It was clear to us that the friendly staff is compassionate and committed to providing the best service available.
