Belmont Tower at Brethren Care Village

I visited this facility

I was recently invited to go on a tour of Belmont Tower, located in Ashland, Ohio. Belmont is a five-story facility on the campus of Brethren Care Village. There are about 70 apartments in the building, from smaller, one-bedrooms. The building itself is impressive. There aren't many buildings this tall in this town! The building has a nice covered driveway going right up to the door, and when you go in, the receptionist (a very friendly lady) is right there to greet you. Most everything that is needed is on the first floor. There is an activities room, with a piano and a television projector...an excercise room, and library. Also on the first floor is a very nice dining room. Meals are served buffet-style, all three meals of the day. The rest of the first floor are the offices. The apartments are all upstairs. I only got to check out one of the smaller apartments on the third floor, but everything in it was very nice, and it is a nice size for a single person. Everything in the building seems to be very clean and well-maintained. The nurses and their assistants (they call them Care Companions) were all very friendly and helpful. All in all, the place is very nice, although it seems a little pricey. If I ever strike it rich, this is a place I would be proud to move my parents into!
