I am a friend or relative of a resident
This was by far the best place my mom could've lived. The CNAs and nurses were amazing! The food was fabulous and the dining room workers almost always seemed happy to be at work. There were so many activities going on daily that my mom was almost never in her room. And when there weren't activities, she was busy hanging out with friends playing games or just visiting. Families always felt welcome. Eastgate is amazing!

I was able to take a tour of Eastgate Manor in Algonquin, Illinois. I thought Eastgate Manor was a very nice facility.
The grounds of the facility are fair. The grounds are well maintained and were accentuated with beautiful greenery and flowers. However, it is situated by a very small strip mall, McDonalds and Pizza pub that take away from the outside beauty, while adding convenience. In addition, there is a 24 hour mart and church right across the street, making outside access to opportunities larger than most facilities I have toured.
The common areas of the facility are very nice. The dining area is very nice and the food was very good. There were also activities going on while I was there. The staff was very engaging and the clients appeared to be smiling and having a good time.
Overall, Eastgate Manor in Algonquin, Illinois is an above average facility. I would recommend it to anyone seeking supported living facility.
