Alden Poplar Creek Rehab and Health Care Center

I visited this facility

I am a friend of a resident of Alden Poplar Creek, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Overall, I thought Alden Poplar Creek was a very nice facility. While my friend is on the skilled care nursing unit, I was able to tour the memory care unit as well. The unit is calming and clean. The common areas of the unit are nice and soothing. The common areas of the overall facility are very nice. There is a wonderful community area in the basement that is inviting in décor. The facility also has a barber shop and ice cream store in the basement. A memory care client can enjoy these amenities if escorted by staff or a family member. It is very inviting to the residents and to visitors. The residents' rooms are fairly standard. Each resident has his or her own bed, dresser and tv. Most rooms allow 2 residents to a room. The residents in a 2 bed room, share a bathroom.
The staff and management of the facility are very friendly and helpful. I have found all of them very caring toward the resident and helpful to family and friends. I think the residents get above average to excellent care there. Overall, Alden Poplar Creek is an above average to excellent facility. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a memory care unit for their family.
