The Abigail Adams Center is a day program for elders who want to stay in their own homes or the home of a loved one, but need help during the day. Adult Day Health Centers like ours are the most cost effective way to provide assistance to the elderly. A day at The Abby is filled with activities, making new friends, having a great time while knowing medical help is on site.
Our Center is a planned program of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health related services for the elderly dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia, depression, or physical limitations, as well as for elders seeking socialization and a safe, enjoyable environment to spend their day. We are open from 8:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, in a safe, supportive, cheerful environment. We limit the number of clients, which we refer to as our 'members', to no more than 18 and we have an unmatched ratio of one staff member for every four members.
Because of our unique small size, we provide a great deal of personal attention to each member. We schedule field trips on a weekly basis, have great food every day always prepared on-site. A visit to our Center will show you how much we can help not only your loved one, but also how we provide significant help and relief to caregivers too. We hope to see you soon!

Fabulous place to have a safe and secure daycare for your loved one,Every a.m I make sure my family member is picked up in the Abbyes Van,She is greeted with a big smile from the driver and is greeted at the door at the Abbey with hugs and kisses and a genuine feeling of love.And served with a hot beverage and a muffin,Games .sing alongs movies,talks and Bingos on Friday,A great meal everyday for lunch and day trips on wensday,This business has been a mental life saver to our family,They work with you and your family to make sure your family member is safe and secure,1-10 ? 10 plus by far.Highly reccomended

My husband attended the Abigail Adams center for the past eighteen months, allowing him to remain in our home until his health failed. He loved going to "the Abby", was greeted with hugs every day, and he cared for the people there just as much as they cared for him. I can't say enough great things about the Abby staff - they truly were a godsend for my husband and for me. My advice is not wait - seek the help a Day Center can provide. It was a tremendous help to us!
