I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother-in-law attends Cherished Place two days a week for adult daycare and enjoys her time there. The facilities are warm and homelike, with a central room set up like a real living room that most people of her age would like, with a fireplace and lots of comfortable furniture. My mother-in-law has mid-stage dementia, still quite vocal about her opinions, and she says that the caregivers there are wonderful and make an effort to engage her and others. They conduct memory quizes daily, have old fashioned sing-alongs, play games and just sit and chat. If there is ever a problem (for instance, unmarked medications), they call immediately.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a respite from giving care to an adult with dementia.
