A lot of threads hear so if you have answer this before forgive. I am a retired veteran with Tricare for life along with Delta Dental Plan. Currently Medicare is my Prime and Tricare covers my prescriptions. When I enrolled in Medicare in 1962 I was told that I had to take Medicare in order to receive my Social Security Benefits. At $100 per month I really don't need or want Part B. How do I terminate Part B. Is there any negative aspect of terminating Medicare?

When a person calls for information, demanding an address should not be part of the process, especially if it is WRONG at YOUR end. I know where I live, it isn't my fault you don't.

I have Medicare part A & B and an Advantage Plan. My plan will not cover Hyaluronic Acid knee injections. Champ VA said they will not cover either. I have called dozens of times and gotten busy signals, and the one or two times I was connected and waited over an hour, the representative could not answer my question. If I drop my Advantage Plan, will Champ VA pay for the injections?

Thank you for sharing this information with all of us. It sounds like you really have an excellent program. Sometimes the out of pocket costs can be so expensive, you really need more help. I work with senior citizens every day, helping them cover the out of pocket gaps brought on by government Medicare. It is an extremely rewarding experience and I truly try and help out wherever I can! Out-of-pocket costs and the loss of financial security and peace-of-mind top the list of concerns Medigap enrollees would have if Medigap insurance was no longer available to them. We try and do the absolute best that we can. If you ever get the opportunity, feel free to check out our new website. We'd appreciate any type of feedback! Thanks again.

My husband is a disabled veteran. I have read many publications and articles about what my benefits would be in the event of his death, but never really got any specific amount. It's helpful to know so I can better plan for my future. Also the information about how ChampVA works and can be used was very information. Again, I've read many things, but never got a clear answer. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

ChampVA is totally useless in Seattle. Since my Dr. dropped my coverage, I have not been able to find anyone that accepts ChampVA or even knows what it is for 5 years!!!!

The CHAMPVA Supplemental Insurance Plan, when combined with your CHAMPVA benefits http://www.champva.us , is designed to provide you with the protection you need when you need it. The plan will pay your cost share for both covered inpatient and outpatient medical expenses after you satisfy the calendar year plan deductible of $150 per person, $300 family maximum.

For those of us who work with seniors, sometimes finding undiscovered avenues of assistance can make a world of difference. This entire series of articles on V.A. Benefits will prove to be very helpful to families, veterans and spouses who may have no idea as to available entitlements. Well done. Thank you.
