Thank you ~ have friends going through this very situation. I have printed this off to share with the caregiver, tomorrow. The suggestion that a whole family can be ripped apart is horrifying. . . We love this family and would so hate for that to be the case.
Especially difficult is the fact that family is scattered. The Assisted Living situation would take mums out of the town where she has lived for ever so long. Yes her peers and husband have passed, but friends of younger variety do still visit. The issue of "home" and "my things", is so huge. . .though mums knows full well she cannot manage on her own. We are in prayer for a good outcome. Again, thank you for approaching this very difficult subject.
