Sibling rivalry is, basically, just a conflict between siblings.  One may think the other gets more attention from the parents.  Another may feel entitled to do less caregiving because of one reason or another.  When I think about it, I mainly just think of any point of contention between siblings.  My brothers definitely have it, probably because they are so close in age and often compete.  Hope that helps!

About Sibling Rivalry, it is embrassing to admit that at 49 and 48 years of age we are still at it.  My sister and I approach life totally differently and have trouble doing anything together.  Both of us are strong willed.  I just want her to finally find happiness and self satisfaction.  And I want the two of us to be able to work together as our mother becomes older, sicker, and more manipulative. 

Isn't it funny how, no matter how old you are, you retain the same roles you did with your sibling as you did when you were children?  Niser, something that may help with your sister is reiterating however many times necessary that you and your sister are on the same team.  You both want good care for your mom.  Hopefully that will keep you both pointed in the same direction.  Good luck!
