My mother has been in a nursing home for 7 month now. she has a schitzopheria condition and she its hard for her to keep up on her medicaition daily by herself. she was living by herself before the nursing home. She seems to be better now that she is in the nusing home but now she feels that it is time to get her own place again but i keep telling her that the same thing is going to happen again and she gets mad at me.I feel guilty about this and helpless just wondering if someone could give me some advice?

Has anyone from your mom's nursing home done an assessment as to whether or not returning to an independent living situation would be a safe idea? Perhaps if she heard it from a medical or other professional, she'd accept that it's not a possibility. Another thought, if you're interested in her returning home, is to hire someone to help her out.
