Is is possible to get a caregiver for your son to keep him safe while you're not there? Or is there a day program he can attend?
I actually enjoy working full time, it gets me away from the negative behaviors from him, It provides me an escape into an atmosphere where it seems I'm appreciated and thanked for helping and caring.
Yet if I go to work, he goes into the traffic in a wheelchair, in the neighborhoods dealing with any and every type you can think of. I get calls from the police when he plays in the traffic, He refuses his meds sometimes, He is incontinent much of the time, He talks to himself outloud all of the time, and I'm running out of time not knowing how long I can do this.
If I'm out of work, my finances take a hard hit. If I go to work I never know yet expect to get a call that something dreadful has happened..
I've been on the Medicaid Waiver Waiting list for a few months now, but nothing has come of it as of yet. I am out of answers and dont know what else there is as far as options go...
