Oh, anonymous. I'm so sorry. It must be hard to hear.
I know it's an old, old platitude to say, but everyone must die sometime. If her quality of life is poor, and it hurts to hang on, it may be kinder to say, "Mom, I love you, you know I'm not ready to let you go, but this is your life and when you're ready to go, I'll understand." So often our loved ones hang on for us. Recently my grandfather passed away. It was so close and he was hurting and the hospice nurse advised my grandmother to tell him it was OK to go, and she did, the brave thing. And then he passed, peacefully with her there.
It's hard to let go...but sometimes, we just have to. Please lean on us to help you through this.
