How do I get misc stuff covered by Medicare / Medicaid ?

Unfortunately, Medicare doesn't pay for such items. However, if you go to your county's Department of Social Services, you can begin the Medicaid application process for your mom. You may also want to call her local Area Agency on Aging. They're a great agency that may have information on other programs that can help. Go to Caring.com's Local Section and plug in her zip code.
