traveling during chemo

My mother is receiving chemo for her recently diagnosed NSC carcinoma. We live in Miami, Fla. and it has been very warm here lately. Thank goodness she has not been too sick with the treatment, but now she wants to go to my sisters house  in North Carolina for Christmas. My concern is the drastic temperature change. She will be going at the coldest part of the year!!  Is it OK for her to go, or should I encourage her to stay home. Thanks   Elizabeth
