My mother has been diganosied with beginning stage of Alzheimers. She told the doctor if in fact that is true I do not want to live, I will kill myself. We have scheduld a second opinon and I am worried what she will do if they also says she does have alzheimers.

You and your family are in my prayers. Immediately have a private consultation with her doctor as for treatment. Your family and you must be very attentive to her during this time. I suggest that you document all of her comments and actions. Also give a copy to her doctor on each visit. When she said this in front of her doctor he should have began to have her to see a physc. Therapist and or behavioral counseling.

I'm so sorry about your mom's diagnosis and her reaction to it. I'm hoping that it was of the knee-jerk variety and as she gets more information will decide life is still quite worth living. I agree with everything the Reverend said. That was great advice.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. It must be a real shock to both you and her to have a diagnosis like this. Her reaction must have really frightened you, and I'm sorry for it.
I agree, speak with her doctor about it, about ways to help her through this.
