Hi! I live with my 88 year old mom - in HER condo, with HER furniture, HER dishes, etc....I am sure that you can already tell what issues we have! I love her dearly, overall we have had a good relationship, but rocky at times. I am 54 with one grown son.
She is a tiny, frail little thing who is a complete perfectionist . She stays in control of her declining health etc by organizing and cleaning and cleaning and organizing . And when she is not feeling up to it, then I have to do it so she will feel in control. And of course I can never do it right. Since I have a full time career and travel for it., I do get some breaks and she can care for herself . She is also extremely slow and wears hearing aids. but overall is in good condition for 88!
I joined Caring.com because so often I get overcome with guilt with my inability to please her. Reading everyone's input is extrememly helpful as well as the advise from Caring . com.
The Lord Jesus will help us!
