51 YO Female I have quit my job to care for my Father who has Myelodysplasia. I am an only child, and my father's on a limited income and can not afford to pay for a full time caregiver. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to spend this time with him, and enjoy sharing with other people about the joys and sometimes craziness of being a caregiver. The reversal of roles sometimes makes me crazy. I never thought I would be the one making sure my Dad ate right, and took care of himself. However, it is very rewarding and I wouldn't change anything.
