Bio
I currently am a CNA and work in the hospice field caring for the terminally ill here in the Houston Texas area (which by the way is why I chose Lonestar as my screen name) and experience alot of joys and sadness whle caring for my patients. There is no job that is as rewarding as this one. I also am a lisenced massage therapist and do some massages on patients when a doctor allows the massage to be done. I originally became a CNA after my mother was involved in a tragic car accident that left her with a brain injury and in a coma for a month. Her chance of survival was slim and none and I watched her struggle for life for many days before she awoke from her coma. She had to learn how to walk, talk and function all over again. Although she recovered a miraculous 95 percent she still lives in an assisted living facility because I do have to work and do not want to leave her alone. I see her frequently and talk to her daily and am blessed that I am still able to do so as I almost lost her in that accident. Its during these times when you realize just how much a life is worth and I thank the Lord daily for his intervention of my mother's care.
