My name is Melissa and my mother's name is Barbara. I am 33 and she is 62. She just started pulling her social security checks this year and it is starting to hit that my mom is getting older and she will eventually need more of my help.
She has no savings because she spent it on me, paying for my apt and bills in my late teens and early 20's. So, I am going to start a Schwab savings account for her. I want to be prepared for whatever may happen; I am starting from the ground up.
My concern is her concern whatever it may be and whenever it may be. She is my best friend and I want the best for her as she gave to me growing up and even now.
