I am the only daughter-in-law to a sweet 89 year old woman. She has two sons. My husband is happy to have his brother be the primary caregiver but lately we have noticed that his 58 year old brother (single) has neglected things we feel are important to her care and well-being.
My husband and I are both retired with grown children. Our daughter and son-in-law had their first child last year. Our son is doing graduate work at a major university. Both are independent but we try to help whenever we can.
My situation is very frustrating since my brother-in-law deeply resents anything I do to try and help out.
I would love to hear from others who might find themselves in a similiar position.
