hello all! I just ran across this site.. so glad to see it. My dad n law has alzheimers..who is in nursing home in Lex. and I need to relocate him here..so my mom n law , who will soon be living with us, will be close to him here in Indps. Does anyone know of a facility in INdps. who would accept him, with a record of aggressive behavior? It stopped one nursing home from taking him.

Welcome to Caring's groups! I'm glad you posted.
I'm not familiar with anything in the Indianpolis area, but I'm hopeful you'll find some good answers from others here. What I did find, that may be helpful, is a tool on the Medicare website that categorizes them by location then indicates if they accept Medicare and Medicaid. This may be a good place to start, depending on how he's paying for his long-term care. Medicare pays very little and it's really for rehabilitative purposes. Medicaid, however, does cover long-term care costs if you qualify. http://www.medicare.gov/NHCompare/ [medicare.gov]
