Hello MS! So glad you've found us.
Losing his keys does sound like a real problem. I'm not sure what the card holder is, but is it possible to acqquire for him one of those retractable key chains that he can attach to his belt loop? That would keep his keys on him at all times if it's part of his routing in dressing every morning.
Good luck, and I'm sure others here will have some more suggestions for you!

Hello!
Laura gave you a good suggestion! I'm also wondering if it would work to have a hook or something near the door so that your dad can get in the routine of placing his keys and card holder there. Another option with keys is to make serveral sets. I'm not sure that would work with a card holder, though.

Hi msmulv103! Man oh Man... dealing with our dads! Its hard to see them gently and sometimes not so gently running out of battery. It sounds to me like its time to have an 'assessment' done of your dad by a social worker from your local area agency on aging.
Here's why I say this. My best friend's dad has Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) too., as well as a weird blood disease, and probably other stuff too. He's 85 too I think. Anyway it was starting to get to the point where he just couldn't do certain stuff and not remembering things. They contacted their local town council on aging who hooked them up with the area agency on aging social worker. They came out to visit (no cost) and evaluate and it turns out that there are all sorts of services that he can get now pretty much for free. They also have great advice!
Have you tried anything like this yet? Let us know how its going!
