Cancer support

i just finished 6 months of chemo,,,, now i have swelling in my face hands feet and legs it is terrible...doc says its from the steroids...i feels worse now than i did when going thru chemo....any suggestions or remendies to reduce this is much needed...

My granfather is 82 and he has always been a hard worker. He was diagnosed with prostae cancer last summer, and now the cancer is in his stomach, and lungs . I am devastated because in 7 months he lost so so muc weight, poor appetite, dehydrated, and fluid buildup in his lungs...

My mom was diagnoised in Sept. 07 with lung cancer. She had 42 treatments of radiation on her lungs which in turn burned her throat , she had 10 chemo treatments and then they did 24 radiation treatments on her brain...

My dad was just diagnosed with gliobastoma multiforme, a type of brain tumor. It's inoperable and we got the sad news that he has only three to six months to live. He's going to have radiation treatment, but that's just to reduce the swelling, it can't make the cancer go away...

My mother was diagnosed 7/7/07. We were told it would be a roller coaster ride, she went throught radiation and just got done with a chemo 5/28 process. Her platlets dropped to 7 last week so she was in the hospital...

My mother has breast cancer and recently we found that it has spread to her spine. We found out because she had back pain -- so get this checked out if it happens to your mom! But she's also starting to seem foggy mentally, and I'm wondering if I should be concerned that it's gone to her brain, too...

A close friend just had a lumpectomy for a small (2 cm) breast tumor. Her doctor, who sounds very well qualified, is recommending partial breast radiation and four months of chemo to follow up, which the doc is calling aggressive treatment...
