I am so very sorry for your loss! it's heart-breaking to lose a parent (both of mine are gone). Realize please that he is at peace . I hope you can feel his presence at times. I have COPD as well and I can truly imagine how your Dad suffered! May God bless you and keep you and your family close.. Peace.

i have lost both my parents. one to age, one to ALS. I am living with the last stages of COPD and CANCER. please pray for me

Colleen and Keakea, having COPD yourselves you know what he went thru! I admire and respect anyone that has it! You both are in my thoughts and prayers! I know he struggled to breathe for a long time but it never slowed him down! Laura, thanks! He passed away in July 08 but I can still remember everything about the moment he died! We think about him constantly and I know he is around us all the time! Like that saying goes, "He may be gone but he will NEVER be forgotten!" And it helps me knowing that I will see him again someday! :)

I think we truly hvae to hang on the thought that we will see our loved ones in heaven. Yes, I believe too that God allows us to feel their presence and maybe even let them come down and be around us. At my sisiter's funeral, I said that Chris will never die as long as we keep her in our minds and hearts. God Loves You. Peace always! Love, Colleen 2
