michelle, my daughter, at the age of 9 was diagnosed with tethered spinal cord, scoliosis, and chari malformation. the doctors untethered the cord and fused her spine. however they didn't want to do anything with the chari malformation unless she became symtomatic. she is now 29 and has alot of the symtoms but does not want surgery after reading all of the posts on the support group blog. i just pray things get better for her, she's been through so much in her young life.
