Candle Story for My Mother

My mom Margaret Golden was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer October 1 2008. As of today she will no longer have any chemo and Hospice will help us in the days ahead. It has been a very long and hard road to see my mom go through this battle. There are times I feel so lost but feel guilty of these feelings because my mom is fighting a harder battle than I am. I want her to find the peace she deserves in the days she has left and for her to know how much I love her. I used to think it was a shame when people said "I was just like my mom" but now I am very proud to hear those words because she is a fighter and has not gave up even when other people have gave up on her. I am so sorry it took something so tragic to show me how blessed I was. I hope you find the peace you deserve and know that I love you. Mom, I am proud to be your daughter and you will always be my hero!!!

My mom past away October 10, 2009 at 5:30 pm. Thank-you for all your prayers and support. She will be sadly missed and always a part of me.

Jill, I'm sorry for what you are having to go through. I know this is the hardest thing you will ever have to go through with the exception of losing a child however you are a very strong woman and you will be okay! As you know, I'm here for you anytime you need me. With love, your best friend/sister Kelly

MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU, YOU WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS @ PRAYERS, GOOD LUCK BABYGIRL AND STAY OPTIMISTIC@ IT WILL NOT BE EASY BUT STAY STRONG!!

My older sister Vicky was recently diagosed with lymphomia and is no longer responding to treatment. She has been quite a fighter but no longer has the strength to endure the pain and suffering she is going through. Many other people and most of her relatives probably never saw her with the same eyes as me. She is probably the most selfless person I have ever known. She would always do what she could for other people, often at the expense of herself, to make sure she could get people a birthday gift or provide something for other special ocassions, knowing she could not afford it. This didn't matter to Vicky , she was the truest friend anyone could have. I am honored to be her sister. She has been a special kind of sister to me for a long long time and will remain in my heart forever. It is almost not believeable that this has happened.
