My mom is a shining light. At 93 years old she shimmers with hope and perseverance as she battles the ravages of a mind gone inactive. She can hardly stand or walk, but that doesn't stop her from getting up, getting dressed and taking care of her own personal needs. She doesn't remember what day it is or even what town she's living in, but she can still crochet, do word search puzzles and read books to keep herself active.

I may be her caretaker, but she is teaching me how to be resilient, hopeful and filled with faith. And at this time of marital difficulty in my life, she is showing me first hand, how to fight the good fight of faith.
