Candle Story for Hans , my husband

To honor my husband Hans, who has Alzheimer's disease. An insidious disease about which many people know very little. It is a disease which never gets better, but slowly worse...every day may have a surprise for the caregiver and an aggravation for the afflicted. They are aware that they are losing thinking and remembering functions as well as their normal household or work capabilities such as fixing a dinner or fixing the back door and it is frightening and angering for them. They live with frustration and fear, as well as the people who care for them.
