Poohie, I feel your pain. My Mom and Dad are both gone and I did not have brothers or sisters. I always wanted them, because I had a very lonley childhood. I would have liked to have a brother that I could call on to support and love me. I hope that you will remember the good times and what fine people they were and can cope with your grief in this manner. It has helped me. God bless you and make your burden lighter.

My Dad is at end stages of Alzheimers and for so many years I continued writing in my journal. In my opinion, there is never a positive outcome to this horrible disease so I thought by writing a memoir would be my positive outcome. Watching the man Ive adored for so many years has been devastating to say the least but I realize that even though this disease will win, I am going to have his last say. This is what keeps me going. I lit a candle today for the most wonderful, sweet, caring man that gave me many years of wonderful memories and every day I thank God for him.

I lit this candle in honor of mbjamm. As a caretaker she deserves a special blessing.
