Hi Claire, I think you're right, there is a Depression-era combination of worrier and hoarder that is particularly challenging, and many of our parents fall into this demographic. My mother was similar; I had to redo her budget over and over to try to prove to her that she had enough money to pay a caregiver a few hours a week and give my sisters and me some respite.
