Okay, I hate to admit it, but we got around this with my dad by taking the coil wire off his car. He had often done his own mechanicing, and when he couldn't figure it out...it was a good sign that we were wise to start the process of him getting used to relying on someone else to get him around. It saved us a LOT of wory about his driving habits. (He also did not like to mention to us were he had been while driving.)
He had a series of strokes soon after. If he had been out somewhere by himself???
