    I have such mixed emotions answering this question. My first response relates to having the eye exam to rule out problems that could cause discomfort. Since it is sometimes difficult for a person with dementia to report the discomfort, an exam may be the only way to diagnose such medical problems as Glaucoma,etc...

  4. How do I handle Dad refusing an eye exam?

    How do I convince my Father to get an eye examination? He has not had one in over two years, and believes that if he goes in for an eye examination that his driver's license will be pulled. He and my mother live in a senior center which feeds them twice a day, and have their own apartment.
