My husband had a stroke 16 months ago. My life will never be the same, some days I known him and I love him, some days I have no answer to the anger and strange behaviour. I try to cope and keep on telling myself it will get better... but will it ever? Stroke took remorse from him. He shows no feeling towards me after hurting me in so many ways. Is it impossible for a stroke patient to feel? I lost my dearest friend, husband, and father of my 3 children. In a blink of an eye...

The article helped validate some of my husband's personality changes and what I have been going thru since his stroke during Fall 2010. I will definitely explore some of the "Help" areas mentioned in the coming month. Thanks!

Knowing the symtoms of a person after a stroke.

I agree parents after a stroke can be cruel to their caregivers.Their personalities change and are no longer appreciative. After having my mother live with us for 10 months, I had to tell her she couldnot live her anymore, when she yelled at me in front of my children My health and my family suffered while she was here and I am glad I moved her out to an assisted living. . She is content being with people in a similiar situation and to people who can take care of her. The victims of stroke do not recognize thier changes in their personality.
