For those whose parents want to stay in their home,' A Reverse Mortgage may be an option. These allow the Senior to stay in their home, and keep the title and deed, while providing financial help. They only pay it back when the home is sold. The retained equity belongs to them and their heirs. If they need new "quarters", there is a new program that allows those to purchase a new home utilizing a Reverse Mortgage.
