San Mateo, CA (March 25, 2008) - Caring.com is pleased to announce the arrival of Gary Alpert as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Alpert will be responsible for the company's partnership and content licensing programs.

Alpert is a seasoned content and technology entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience working with companies from their inception through their growth as category leaders.

"So many organizations have expressed interest in using the unique care-giving content Caring.com has created that we decided to invest more resources in helping other websites leverage our helpful, time-saving content," said Andy Cohen, Co-founder and CEO. "Gary has an exceptional track record of building meaningful, long-term partnerships with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and we're delighted to have him join the Caring.com team."

Most recently, Alpert co-founded and ran WetFeet, Inc., a popular consumer website and content company and corporate recruitment services firm. Prior to WetFeet, Alpert was Principal and Co-founder of WFP Management & Strategy Consulting, a boutique management consulting practice that worked in partnership with larger consulting firms on corporate strategy, business realignment, and strategic planning engagements.

"Caring.com has done a remarkable job attracting a world-class team of editorial and technology veterans and eldercare experts, and developing an immensely rich and engaging website," said Alpert. "I believe Caring.com can make a huge impact in the lives of millions of baby boomers caring for an aging parent.

"There is a large universe of potential partners doing great work that needs to reach this audience, and Caring.com can help them meet this need in a way that is mutually beneficial," Alpert added. "I am thrilled to have this opportunity."

Alpert has an MBA and certificate in public management from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. He received his bachelor of arts in human biology, with a self-designed concentration in healthcare public policy, from Stanford University. Since its inception in 1995, he has been on the board of directors of the MBA-Nonprofit Connection, an organization that partners with top MBA programs and nonprofits to develop professional opportunities for MBAs in the nonprofit sector.
